    StDev 214R:  Learning through Service: Theory and Application

    Mondays from 5:10-6:00pm 

     Learning through Service is a one-credit class offered by the Center for Service and Learning during fall and winter semesters. This course provides an excellent opportunity for students, particularly those in leadership positions, to learn about:

    • Service practice
    • Motivation for service
    • Service philosophies and theories
    • The fourth aim of a BYU education
    • The power of reflection in service
    • Personal/skill development and learning through service

    StDev 132:  Foundations of Effective Tutoring and Mentoring—Level One

    Wednesdays from 5:00-6:40pm

    Foundations of Effective Tutoring and Mentoring—Level One is a one-credit class which teaches basic tutoring skills and fulfills the training requirements for Level One certification through the CRLA (College Reading and Learning Association).

    The Center for Service and Learning offers this class during 1st and 2nd blocks of fall and winter semesters.
